Onsite at the venue (with online moderator for questions and comments from remote participants) |
Specific Issues for Discussion |
This session will focus on capturing lessons and potential strategies on how to increase the awareness of the general public when it comes to internet governance and issues related to it. With representatives from civil society organisations in different countries in the region, the session aims to discuss what worked, what did not work, the lessons from the ground, and potential spaces for co-learning and collaboration on how to popularize the concept of internet governance and move people to talk about related issues and act on it. |
Describe the Relevance of Your Session to APrIGF |
Awareness is the first step towards ensuring peoples' inclusion in the movement towards addressing internet governance issues. Mainstreaming these issues so that the general public can react and act lies on civil society, especially those at the forefront of digital rights advocacy. |
