Describe the Relevance of Your Session to APrIGF | |||||||||||||||||
Considering the backdrop of the ever growing popularity of East Asian online culture in South East Asian countries, especially how popular culture has deeply penetrated everyday life of youths; exploring the transnational culture flows (which can be assumed to be more inclined in one direction rather than equal two-way exchange), may prove valuable to understanding new perspectives regarding sexual content generation and consumption on social network sites among youths. This session would help address the issues related to the transnational influence of East Asian online culture on other Asian communities across Asia Pacific. Our workshop aims to discuss the extent to which culture can shape a youth's content generation preferences/tendencies. Also, the speakers would cover the issues related to concept of personal autonomy in data governance for youths actively creating content. The goal of the discussion is to share experience and knowledge in addressing issues related to Technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TF GBV). online/remote learning and digital skills development in Asia. • Introduction (5 mins) • Presentations (45 mins) • Questions posed from the audience to panel and other participants (35 mins) • Conclusion (5 mins) |
